Im a Deer | Christmas Festivities

Merry late Christmas everyone! and soon it will be New Year, actually by the time this post is up it may technically be New years eve. So um Happy New Year too!

Im kinda scared at how quickly christmas came around, and to be honest I actually prefer the time before Christmas Day because there is more hype and excitement...since Christmas Day just goes by so quickly...

Bring Me the Horizon | Concert Life

Yo my friends ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ

I was looking back at my Warped Tour pics and realised I didn't post about the Bring Me the Horizon concert ( ꒪Д꒪)ノ
So basically, yes as you would have guessed it was amazing. Also not forgetting the fact that it was I.N.S.A.N.E. the capitals were needed.
It was at the same venue as Warped and Alexandra Palace is literally my new favourite place for concerts. I saw an advertisement for SlipKnot there...might have to investigate more on that.
The concert itself was incredible, well I mean I woke up with bruises the next day and no voice so I think that sums up a pretty good evening.

Warped Tour UK | SURVIVAL GUIDE

Hello people,

So winter has finally begun here in the UK. I woke up to an icy fridge freezer of a bedroom and could see my own breath and considering I'm meant to have the warmest bedroom in the house, that is saying something.
Time is seriously going by so quickly and I didn't even realise it had been a month (A MONTH.) since I last posted or updated you lot. My apologies friends.

Chocolate Brownie Stuffed French Toast

Chocolate soaked french toast with a a creamy peanut butter filling and drizzled with chocolate sauce ~ a healthier breakfast or brunch french toast treat

I love it when the months get colder.

Not only does it mean Christmas is coming but it means that it is also socially acceptable to eat your bodyweight in festive treats and comfort food. Yes my figure may not appreciate it by the end of December but that's what new years resolutions are for am I right?! I was scrolling through my Photo library as I normally do when Im bored or don't have any exciting blogging material and I can't believe I have kept this hidden for such a long time!

Evil Alice in Wonderland | Halloween Makeup Tutorial

Happy Halloween my little Cheshire kitties!

Well its not Halloween just yet but its October...so basically yeah it is Halloween YAY.
Honestly the most boring thing about growing up is that it is no longer socially acceptable for teenagers to go trick or treating, I still want to go now but I reckon I will have a few doors slammed in my face. Im not trying to deprive the children of getting Halloween candy, I just would like to know that I have the option to go trick or treating at this age if I really want to. Maybe you will see me when I'm 30 on the news as that mad woman who went trick or treating and got arrested because people thought it was strange...most likely.
OF COURSE I CAN STILL DRESS UP THOUGH, in the comfort of my own dark little room where no one can judge me (she says after uploading a youtube video on dressing up for the whole world to see) who doesnt enjoy dressing up though. If you don't then your lying to yourself.

This year I thought I would go for an Alice in Wonderland inspired look, basically because a long black wig + creepy cute bunny dress = Evil Alice. The logic is there.
And so I went ahead and made a youtube video! to which you should check out and perhaps subscribe??? yes.
But I thought I would also do a blog post to appeal to any non-video fans out there so you can see it in picture form to which you can look back on or save or whatever is your thang.

3 Ingredient Nutella Cake w/ Dark Chocolate Glaze

Super easy Nutella cake with only 3 ingrededients and an optional dark chocolate glaze (well not really optional...just do it)

Well long time no recipe post!

Iv'e realised that most of my posts lately have been more fashion and travel related which isn't a bad thing you know since variety is the spice of life, Is that how the saying goes? meh I dunno something like that anyways

I thought I would ease the food posts back into Takara Dori with a bit of chocolate, specifically Nutella because I'm not gonna lie, it is seriously my guilty pleasure in life. I have to admit this recipe was made yonks and yonks ago but I never got round to posting it, it was a special one I was saving for you (I tell myself- to hide my forgetfulness). This recipe is my perfect 'getting home from school on a Friday and craving a dessert but can't actually be bothered to make anything complicated or take too long to bake' dessert. A 3 ingredient nutella cake that takes about 5 minutes to make and less than an hour to bake? Im in. As in, dive into the jar and bathe in nutella sort of participation.

BEACH DAYZ | Marbella Day 2

So these Spain posts have been waaaaaay too drawn out but hey better late than never (a saying that I saw way too much). My logic is that now that it's getting colder into winter months these Marbella posts will act as a nice contrast to the darker colder evenings that are too come....even though I really like it when it gets colder and darker. Am I weird? Actually don't answer that.

Jazz and Trilbys | Edinburgh Day 2

Hello friends~ how's your summer treating ya?

I really need to make a habit of allocating blogger time because its becoming an afterthought due to sixth form summer work which I have kind of neglected oops...

Hoping you all are having a fab time doing what your doing this summer, and maybe I will get to share what I've done with you all fully once I get my butt into gear and actually write some regular blog posts. It's all going to be ancient history by the time its up, ahhh but it will all be worth it right?

In current news, I'm staying with my best friend down in Dorset for a week. Well, technically its been a week already but long story short there was a poisonous snake bite incident which ended up in that person being hospitalised for a few days and what not. I mean,  don't panic or anything! all is good now and they are back home with all be it a massive-not very attractive bruise on their leg but hey at least it gave me more time with my bestie~

Eploring Edinburgh | Day 1

Hey everybody!

wow it feels like it's been ages...

wait it has been ages, I haven't posted in two weeks! yikes sorry about that~

Obviously I have missed you all and I've missed blogging, I guess Ive just been caught up in the whole moving process thing (although I personally haven't really done that much) I think its more me galavanting off being a little social bee to be honest which is really quite unusual for me. Ive seen this summer holiday to be an opportunity to cram in as much things as possible, not that I did that on purpose at all to avoid helping with the move. No really I didn't do that at aaaaaall...

Ive realised that I still haven't posted all of the Marbella photos yet, ahhh I need to step up my game here. They are soon to come for sure but I thought I would share some more recent holiday photos. I recently went on a trip with good ol' grandma to Edingburgh for a city break as a treat for finishing school I guess? I dunno but it was a cute gesture right?! ^^ I had never been to Scotland before so it was exciting to visit somewhere new.

Grandma's Birthday Meal| Family Funtimes

Happy Sunday everyone!

I thought I would just do a short post on last weekends events so that I can share a bit more of my daily life with you :) It was my Grandma's 66th Birthday (I know she totally doesn't look it, sometimes when we go out together, my mum is mistook for my sister and grandma the mum). It was just a chilled gathering with my Auntie & Uncle, Mum and her boyfriend and the Gramps, were not really into super formal stuff so a meal at the Beefeater grill it was. BBQ ribs here I come! no just kidding...
It turned out to be a great evening, helped by the fact that we had a fantastic waiter who was super friendly and chatty with us (most of which the conversation involved him trading moisturising tips and preferences for beards with mum's bf)...yeah

Peanut Butter and Nutella Banana Bread

A delicious combination of peanut butter and nutella mixed into a banana bread in honour of National Peanut Butter Day! It also has no butter whatsoever which makes it healthier than your traditional banana bread!

Ive been in a baking mood lately...

You may think this is a good thing but when it is used against you as procrastination from revising for exams, then you have a problem. Although to be fair I have been revising every weekday so I think I am allowed to do something I love at the weekend, and by that I mean I literally spending all of Saturday in the kitchen- oh and also friday night...yeah thats how I spend my friday night. WILD I know. Maybe it's celebratory because guess who got an A* on their Biology exam! It was a mock exam but still, I was dead chuffed!

I think the baking count this weekend was a pear pudding 1, Pasta Bake 2 (that counts right?), Morning baked oats 3 and this Banana Bread...4. For me anyways, that is a lot of baking! but I loved it and If that's how full time bloggers roll then hey, I wanna get on that wagon.

All of the mentioned above will be up on ze blog soon hopefully, as I said exams and stuff, but I will try my best to get the content to you guys. I wanted to share this recipe with you today because yesterday it was National Peanut Butter Day! WOOP WOOP! Mark that down on your calendar folks- 24th January.
If you snooped around here for a while you can probably guess I am a hard core peanut butter girl. I had a craving for bananas too, so I searched the blogosphere for some peanut butter and banana based recipes and then I saw this recipe from Baking Joy- Banana bread with peanut butter AND nutella thrown in too for good measure. Its also has no butter which makes me feel slightly less guilty for eating like...my seventh piece, actually count that eight (eating some right now).

The recipe is slightly different since I only used ingredients that I had in the house and I didn't make the ganache frosting, to which at this point Im kinda regretting... Oh well. But honestly it still tastes amazing by itself or with yoghurt or ice cream. You'll have to bake it yourself and see ^^

Dining in the Alps

As you may or may not know I was skiing in France over the christmas period, it was such an amazing time and I'm already counting down the days unit I can next go back! Aside from the skiing and general awesomeness that is Val d'Isere, did I mention that the food is another major highlight? By far one of the best things about skiing holidays is the food (ી(΄◞ิ౪◟ิ‵)ʃ)

Basically this is like a photo diary of just some of the yummy noms I had when I was over there, and don't be fooled just because it was christmas- the food is generally always like this (apart from the christmas dinner of course ( •ॢ◡-ॢ)) Please enjoy a few snaps of the desserts, restaurant food and an abundance of afternoon teas~

Season of Selfies: Festive Edition!

Heyaaa lovelies,

I came up with an awesome name for a new tag I want to start doing here on the blog~ 'Season of Selfies!' (have to admit kinda proud of that, I do like a bit of alliteration). As the name suggests It's just going to be a post of well...selfies! Mainly selfies particular to holidays such as christmas and even birthdays or maybe just because I have an abundance of photos from a particular outing...but season of selfies sounds like something we can run with (`ڼ´)
Todays season of selfies post is a festive edition, celebrating some christmas selfies taken during my time skiing. Get ready for full on ski gear, weird faces and cheesy christmas accessories.

Christmas in Val d'Isere

Bonjour ~ (-^〇^-)
Happy new year for 2015!
I'm back from France now after our awesome christmas away skiing in Val d'Isere and I have to admit... I'm already missing it so much. I just love skiing and the food and the skiing and the town and the shops and the everything. Although it was magical and all and we actually had snow over christmas unlike being in the UK, the christmasy vibes just went there. Maybe it's just the fact that we were away from home and it's the only thing were used to but you know what, I really didn't mind- I actually enjoyed it more than the typical christmas day we would normally have at home.

Don't get me wrong, I love christmas day at home too but to be honest when it gets to the evening we have eaten and already opened presents and I'm left feeling a bit.. bored. In France, it was full on day skiing for about 6 hours, having afternoon tea in the chalet, opening presents and having a drink at the bar and then having christmas dinner later on in the evening.
Then after that we even went out to a bar in the town and stayed out till about 2am, we met some and talked with new people and even hung out with the chalet staff that were working in the chalet. For me it was a memorable christmas and one that I would totally do again!

Although, did I mention that we were stuck on a coach for 22 hours? yeahhh for those of you in the UK who saw the news about the shed load of snow that caused problems in the Alps...yep that was us. We weren't quite as bad as those who had to be sent to emergency accommodation but we would've been sent there if we hadn't of been stuck on that coach for so long! we made a joke out of it and said that the coach was our emergency accommodation...
Basically making your way down a snowy icy mountain in a coach with vehicles coming the other way as well doesn't work out, there was also a coach incident too which didn't really help the process of getting down. After being told that the coach would not be moving for 3 hours (10 minutes into the journey may I add) me and mum went off with a few others to find a loo and get food rations. *That is one downside of being a woman, men can easily pee standing up where we have to resort to popping squats outside the coach. I personally can't do that so we went to find a loo (•ิ_•ิ)
After walking down the hill we hallelujah! found a loo in a restaurant and ordered two ham baguettes for the journey, we even snuck in a sneaky hot chocolate before I head out to a convenience store to buy chocolate, waffles and cookies to for some snackage on the coach.
Overall, we worked out that our flight was 24 hours later than intended because we had to get a new flight booked and at a different airport... but as I said it was still an amazing holiday and it all seems like a dream what happened (mainly because we were up all night and sleep deprived). If I learned anything from this, it is that coach seats = UNCOMFORTABLE (☍﹏⁰)。

Here are some snaps I took in Val of the town, there aren't as many photos of the mountains as id like but it was hard fitting my camera in my ski jacket pocket (>o<) there are a lot of foodie photos though so I decided to save those for another post (´⊙ω⊙`)

oh and incase you were wondering, yes santa claus did visit even in France (^_~)

This is basically what the setup for lunch look like on the slopes- helmet threw on the table, coat strung over the chair and some sort of sandwich baguette with a filling
The mountains that surround Val d'Isere~ nightie snapshot

Seafood selection in SPAR- yes spar (convenience stores in France majorly upgraded)
