Day in Camden | Vegan Food and Shopping

This was my first time in Camden (well not actually my first- but that was a long time ago and i don't remember so it doesn't count ) and my thoughts? LOVED IT.

I didn't know what a cool and eccentric place camden was, it was so unique and I felt that I could spend forever there just chilling out and buying a shed load of stuff. Also what made us want to go to camden was that there is a vegan cafe, my mum's friend told us about the place and how yummy there 'raw' cakes were. There is cake involved- so of course I was going to try it out. Plus I love vegan food.

Camden proved a very popular place since it was heaving along the streets but obvi right? it's awesome and now my new favourite place (well, maybe on par with Soho. I love Soho too). Seriously, I kept getting distracted so much by the vintage clothes shops and huge sculptures of Doc Martin boots and legs with tights attached to the buildings. At this point though I was super hungry so whilst my mind was like CLOTHES my stomach was like FOOD.

After much walking to find this place, we found it at the end of the road that runs past Camden market (just a heads up- the building numbers around there go in a weird order). The cafe is called 'InSpiral' and is officially known as an organic, vegetarian and vegan cafe/ bar- with live music and events too. It's a rather small establishment yet it is SUPER popular, there was always a queue at the counter.

One of their most popular smoothies is the 'Banana Karma' and 'Green Queen.' Normally, I'm always for banana but I think they are a bit too filling for a side drink. My mum surprised me with green queen:

I'm going to be honest here, I love love love healthy smoothies and drinks but this one tasted... too healthy? is that a thing? The taste was sweet but grassy at the same time. I'm thinking it had something to do with the wheat grass- or maybe the liquid chlorophyl.
These were the ingredients:

🌱Mint 🌱Avocados 🌱Chia seeds 🌱Activated Almonds 🌱Spinach 🌱Weatgrass 🌱Spirulina  🌱Liquid Chlorophyl 🌱Dates

I think I will try a different one next time.

Fusion Food in London | Japan meets...Peru!?

Welcome Welcome lovely readers,

For my birthday (which was in May...yeah this posts a tad late) my mum took me to London.  When asked what I wanted to do I recall myself saying "I want to eat at yummy places" (maybe with a bit of shopping in chinatown thrown in their as well)

When looking through my photos I totally forgot I didn't blog about the places we went, and they were awesome places...that deserve to be written about (〜 ̄▽ ̄)〜

Whenever we take a trip to London, we ALWAYS eat at a Japanese restaurant. I wanted to spruce things up a bit this time and try somewhere knew... but somehow the restaurant was still Japanese inspired.

enter...  CHOTTO MATTE!  The place for JAPANESE and PERUVIAN FUSION FOOD! Stumbled across this place thanks to the old Timeout London

Chotto Matte (which means 'wait a minute' in Japanese) is situated in the hip area Soho. Chotto Matte was launched during London fashion week and is influenced by Japanese and Peruvian cultures, apparently they also serve colourful cocktails and have live music too. Sadly I didn't get to experience all that but I can tell you that the food is DAMN GOOD!

Tuna Sashimi (Maguro)

My dish- Donburi (rice bowl with toppings) Barriguita de Chanchito (Pork belly, nashi pear, yellow tomato salsa and vegetables). Absolute YUM.

Vegetales Japoneses (vegetable tempura)

Nasu Miso (Aubergine miso, aprictos, puffed soba andsesame seeds)

After some these yummy (and relatively healthy) noms, one must have cake. My favourite place in London for amazing cakes and atmosphere would have to be Yauatcha. It's an asian inspired tea room full of aromatic teas and unbelievable patisserie, it also has a menu chock full of dim sum, noodle, rice, soup dishes if your looking for more of a savoury affair ( ̄ω ̄)

SUMMER IN ITALY | PISA

So Summer holidays are over, back at school and revision begins.

What better way to make myself feel better than to reminice about some amazing holidays that have been and gone.

Although, when I first started this blog it was my intention to write about my travels. I don't know about you but I love reading blogs about travelling. The whole 'Great places to eat' or "Must see attractions' are my type of reads and I would love to be able to show you my adventures and share  my recommendations(*^3^)/~♡

Oh and that reminds me! Iv'e decided to start a new # on the blog called 'TBH' (not 'To Be Honest') since on Instagram their is a # for Throw Back, I thought I would call these posts 'Throw Back Holiday' -(๑☆‿ ☆#)ᕗ

In the summer of 2013, me and my mum were lucky enough to be invited to a villa in Italy owned by one of our good friends. It was a lovely villa in the heart of Tuscany in an area called Certaldo.

Tiramisu gelato- because you have to eat this while your in Italy

The view from the Villa- look at those vineyards!

Stay tuned for more posts on my Italy adventure!

Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan Cosplay- Toudou Heisuke

If your a hardcore anime, cosplay, gaming, Japanese culture fan, then you probably know about MCM Expo...

Expo is held in London during May and October and is probably the most anticipated convention in the UK, it is seriously any anime lovers dream

This year I went in May (as I always do) and cosplayed (of course!). I was determined to do a cosplay  completely different that no one else would do, I think I was successful (considering that hardly anyone knew who my character was (┳Д┳)...

I decided on cosplaying Todo Heisuke from the anime Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan which is a relatively lesser known anime about samurai     *coughs* really attractive samurai...

Apparently its a reverse harem, Otome, romantic tragedy (according to Wikipedia). I first saw the Nintendo 3DS game advertised and then did some research, only to find that there is in fact a series! great news for someone who is nintendo 3DS deprived! Thus, my obsession began and much fangirling happened ( ´͈ ॢꇴ `͈ॢ)・*♡

I highly recommend this anime but please oh please DO NOT watch the dubbed version, the voices are actually cringe worthy. The Japanese version (with English sub) have sexy voices are much more authentic sounding.

So I hope you like my cosplay! It didn't take too long to make and it was super satisfying seeing all of it come together. I used a karate uniform sewing pattern for the clothing (apart from the leggings which were bought). The wig I bought off eBay, the shoes were my mum's that she got from Japan and the swords... my awesome Grandad made! and I can't take all the credit for the outfit, my Grandma is literally a seamstress Queen and helped me all the way (´ ▽`).。o♡

I met some fellow cosplayers from Norway (=^-ω-^=) they came up to me since they recognised my character (result!)

Hyper Japan London 2014!

Hey everyone!

I'm super excited in sharing this post today. If your familiar with hyper japan then you can understand my excitement, but if your not, check out the link 〈(•ˇ‿ˇ•)-→ here - you will be overcome with all things kawaii.

I had never been to hyper japan before until Friday and to be completely honest it was a last minute decision, but I am so happy that I went in the end! Hyper Japan is at Earles court in London and it is a three day event from Friday to Sunday (perks of summer holidays means that I get to go on a Friday which means less queues (☝ ՞ਊ ՞)☝).

But yeah, it was a brilliant day. I met lots of people, ate japanese food, looked at the stalls, bought stuff at the stalls, watched SIRO-A perform! ( ꒪Д꒪)ノ ♡

If you get a chance to go, I totally recommend it (and plus we could hang out ✧٩(・ิᴗ・ิ๑)۶*✲゚)

Met famous Harajuku fashion designer who has collaborated with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu ٩꒰๑ ´∇`๑꒱۶

Met the beautiful Pixie Late at her stall PixieBunny! PixieBunny sells kawaii fashion, hair and beauty products.

Dinner at Whole foods consisted of a burrito.  Mixed grains, beans, chicken, guacamole, salad... perfection (minus my pink lip stain marks)

Niçoise Pasta Recipe

Hey guys!

So, let's talk cooking. If you have read my 'about me' page then you will know that I am a bit of a foodie. Cooking has become a hobby that I really enjoy doing (unless I am absolutely ravenous in which case I'm too hungry to concentrate...).  I love flicking through recipes whether it being a magazine (Good Food is my fave) or on my iPod (Foodgawker app is amazing- food gasms everywhere).

Originally I was only going to start a food blog, but I had different things that I also wanted to share with you guys. Instead of doing two blogs, a general one and a food one (which I've got to be honest sounds like a lot of work) Iv'e just decided to smush all the content into one...I hope you will enjoy all the upcoming recipes!

Now down to business, were talking pasta today. Niçoise Pasta. It was super duper hot today (yes actually hot for once in the UK) and this fresh pasta dish did just the job. Made this for myself and the grandparents and it turned out pretty good, if i don't say so myself (・∀・)

Miyavi Live in London!

Hey Guys!

So I have been bubbling ever since my mum got me tickets to see Miyavi live in London and I have to say I found the experience actually life changing (not even exaggerating). Just the fact that I even managed to go to the concert was a shock since when there is a Visual kei concert it  always seems to be during school times....  and is it just me or have you fellow Vkei fans out there in the UK notice that Japanese bands HARDLY come to the UK (just one of the downsides of not living in Japan).

Miyavi played at Shepherds Bush O2 which is conveniently located near Westfields for a bit o' shopping, so we made a weekend of it. Saturday morning shopping then Miyavi in the evening and Sunday more shopping (everything good)\(T∇T)

Rights go to the owner of photo- image is not mine

We stopped for lunch in Westfields at a place called 'PENANG' which was a Malaysian restaurant, delicious food and awesome interior ヽ(愛´∀`愛)ノ
